Compliance — The Survey, Step by Step

What's in a fire door survey?
Every step, explained.

A fire door survey is only as good as the report it produces. Here's exactly what we check on every door, what your report contains, and how to read it.

The Checks

What we check
on every door.

We work through the same checks on each door so nothing is missed.

What we check on every door What's in your report
Gaps and seals (gap no more than 4 mm; intumescent strips intact) A photo of every door inspected
The self-closing device operates correctly A clear pass / fail against each check
Hinges — correct number, CE/UKCA-marked, firmly fixed Plain-English findings, no jargon
Certification, labelling and the door leaf / frame condition Prioritised, practical recommendations
Glazing, seals and any signage Digital record + same-day certificate
The Report

What's in
your report.

Every door is photographed and scored, with plain-English findings and prioritised recommendations, stored in the cloud via our IT systems.

Image-backed, clearly reported, and certified the same day. Book a survey and we'll arrange a visit across Cornwall and Devon.

Get In Touch

Book an
inspection.

Speak directly with a qualified specialist. Each fire door is assessed against a comprehensive 30-point inspection by a certified fire door inspector. You'll receive a detailed, image backed report setting out what is compliant and what requires attention, with clear recommendations. Where it is safe and compliant to do so, we prioritise repair over replacement. Compliant doors are issued with certification on the same day.

Inspections are £30 + VAT per door. Fee deducted from invoice when you book remedial or replacement work within 60 days.
